Clarence Gilyard was an American university professor, actor, and author who lived from December 24, 1955, to approximately November 28, 2022.
He was occasionally referred to as Clarence A. Gallyard when he performed in stage, screen, and television plays in error.
Gilyard had five children with two women. The most notable among his children is 15 years Peter Gilyard for reasons that are not too clear. The names of his other children are unfortunately not in the public domain currently.
When he was actively gracing the silver screen with his acting talent he portrayed several characters in both film and television shows. The last season of the NBC television series CHiPs featured Gilyard as Officer Benjamin Webster.
He appeared in The Duck Factory on NBC in 1984 alongside Jim Carrey. In 1987, he made an appearance in a McDonald’s commercial.
On TV shows like Diff’rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, 227, and Simon & Simon, Gilyard has made guest appearances.
