Drew McIntyre hasn’t been seen in WWE since WrestleMania 39, when he lost a match for the IC Title. McIntyre was actually injured during the build-up for that encounter, but he gutted through it and did the match anyway. Now, he is resurfacing.
We previously reported that WWE announced “WWE Superstar and Special Olympics Global Ambassador Drew McIntyre will attend the Special Olympics World Games 2023, the world’s largest inclusive sports event featuring thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities, taking place in Berlin this month.” Now, that event has gone down, and McIntyre had a great time.
Footage of Drew McIntyre with athletes is online, and he is enjoying every moment of it. The Scottish Warrior also seemed to be inspired by it all.
WWE’s German account tweeted out a few posts to celebrate Drew McIntyre’s return to the public eye after a short hiatus so he could rest up at home.
As a global ambassador, @DMcIntyreWWE obviously didn’t miss the opening ceremony of #SpecialOlympicWorldGames !
We will have to see when Drew McIntyre shows up again. He very well may stay around Europe so he can make his way to London’s O2 Arena on July 1st. After all, Money in the Bank could be a great time for his return.
