Margot Robbie reveals her husband TomAckerley's secret role in the Harry Potter film series

Margot Robbie has made no secret of her love for the Harry Potter books.

And the Australian actress, 31, has revealed her film producer husband Tom Ackerley had a small role in the popular film franchise.

An interview from last year has resurfaced of Margot speaking about Tom’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in 2004’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

‘My husband is in the Harry Potter movies,’ she revealed on The Graham Norton Show.

‘I know, I was like, “Had you told me sooner we would’ve been married very quickly!”‘

Margot went on to explain: ‘He was an extra. When he was a little kid, he was one of the Slytherin extras. When Draco pushes some kids out of the way to see Buckbeak in the third book, he pushes my husband out of the way.’

Margot has been open about her obsession with the Harry Potter franchise.

In 2016, the two-time Oscar nominee revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she once got a pair of glasses to look like The Boy Who Lived.

She shared an old photo of herself as a 13 year old, tucked into bed while reading Harry Potter, and admitted she’d lied about her vision to get the spectacles.

‘I’m drinking a cup of tea, I’m in bed, I’m really enjoying myself reading Harry Potter, I have braces, which I had for two years, I was really into slicking my hair back – God knows why – and I’m wearing glasses, which I didn’t actually need.’

‘I have 20/20 vision, and I lied to get glasses!’ she added.

‘Really, why?’ Jimmy asked in amazement, to which Margot replied: ‘So I could look like Harry Potter!’

That's dedication! Margot wore glasses when she was a child, even though she isn't short-sighted, simply because she wanted to look like Harry Potter
